Catholic United Financial Credit Union and Notre Dame Federal Credit Union are excited to announce our plans to merge on April 1, 2026, pending member and regulatory approval.
It's a shared vision for banking that puts people and communities first.

What an exciting time it is! As your credit union, our purpose has always been clear: to serve you, strengthen our community, and protect what matters most to our members. By uniting like-minded credit unions, we are taking that commitment even further.
This merger is about Uniting for You - bringing together shared values, local roots, and a member-first philosophy to deliver greater strength, expanded services, and long-term stability. Together, we gain more resources, more innovation, and more opportunities to reinvest in the people we serve, without losing the personal service you trust.
This is not a change in who we are; it's a commitment to becoming even better for you - today and for generations to come.
Andrea Kuhl, President

Notre Dame Federal Credit Union is a mission-driven financial institution with a long tradition of service, integrity, and
community partnership. For more than 80 years, they have offered honest guidance, dependable products, and a commitment to improving the financial well-being of every member.
They combine personal service with modern digital tools so you can bank with confidence wherever life takes you. Their focus remains the same today as when they began. Notre Dame FCU puts people first and works every day to strengthen the communities they serve.

As we move forward, we promise to keep you informed every step of the way. How?
We will communicate with you through mail and our website. We'll place links to information in our online and mobile banking. We'll also send you updates to your email.
And while there no changes right now, there will be over the next few months as we prepare for our systems to merger in June 2026.

Nothing is changing right now! We will continue with business as usual while we work through other approvals over the next several months. You will be notified in advance of any changes and steps you need to take. Our team will help you every step of the way. Contact us if you have more questions.
This merger unites two heart-driven organizations that have a long history of prioritizing purpose and impact over profit. This merger allows us to live that more fully together and better serve the growing needs of our members and Catholic communities.
This partnership will allow us to better serve members through:
> New products and loans including credit cards
> Highly competitive loan and deposit rates
> Access to a nationwide shared branch network and additional ATMs
> New online and mobile technologies for consumers, businesses and nonprofits
> Additional Call Center hours
> New services that help members support their local Catholic schools and churches
Not at this time. We will continue to serve our members at our St. Cloud office. Our St. Paul office may relocate in the Twin Cities to better serve our members.
For now, branch hours will remain the same. Additional Call Center hours will be added.
The Credit Union will operate under Notre Dame Federal Credit Union.
We intend to retain all staff with our combined credit union following the integration, and there will be no job cuts or layoffs.
Thomas Gryp, President & CEO of Notre Dame FCU will be leading after the merger is complete. Andrea Kuhl will become Upper Midwest Market President.
Yes, your accounts will continue to be federally insured through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund and backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government.
There will be some changes to members' accounts and services in June 2026.
> Member Numbers: As we combine systems, your member number will be changed.
> Debit Cards: Members with debit cards will receive new Notre Dame FCU debit cards.
> Checks: Continue to use your existing checks. Our team will assist with any new check orders.
> Loans: Existing loans will remain in effect.
> Account Terms & Conditions: These may change, and those details will be mailed to you.
Nothing will change right now. Once accounts are combined on a single platform in June 2026, members will need to re-enroll in online banking and set up their new username and password. This may also include re-enrolling in mobile deposit and bill pay. We'll make sure the process is simple and clearly communicated and our team will be ready to assist.
Not right now. In June 2026, you will need to download the Notre Dame FCU Mobile App. Because we currently have the same operating system, the look and feel of the app will be very familiar to use and navigate.
Primary members who are 18 years of age or older and had a $10 membership savings account as of January 29, 2025, are eligible to vote.
Voting will be open on February 1. You will receive your ballot around that date, or you can vote directly from our website or through the link in online banking.
Voting will close March 18, 2026 at 5 p.m.
You will need to know your Election ID, which will be included in the ballot information you are sent. You will also need to know the last four digits of your Social Security number.
