MISSION

Build high-quality, lifetime relationships through providing exceptional products and services that enhance the financial lives of our Catholic communities.

History

At the turn of the 21st century, the Board of Directors of Catholic United Financial approved the establishment of a member-owned credit union that would operate on the same values and business principles informed by the Catholic faith as its parent company.

Since then, Catholic United Financial Credit Union has offered banking, loans and financial services to a growing number of members, and honors a member-centric business model, operating as a "financial guardian angel" to those who have placed their trust and treasure in the institution.

Timeline

  • Catholic United Financial Credit Union was chartered by the State of Minnesota in May 2001 as Catholic Aid Association Credit Union.

  • In 2010, the name was changed to reflect the name change of the parent company.

  • In 2012, the Credit Union merged with Catholic Credit Union of St. Cloud, expanding the membership to more than 5,000, and opened a local branch in St. Cloud.

  • In 2016, the St. Cloud branch moved to its current location on St. Germain Street.
